Shepherd Huts scheme
I collaborated with Anna Charlton who created www.hesleysidehuts.co.uk in the magnificent Northumberland countryside. She wanted to revamp one of her huts so I had a free reign.
We painted all the walls and ceilings in Stone blue by Farrow and Ball. We wallpapered the bedroom area in Lilly red wallpaper. We did nothing to the woodwork because it was a lovely oak and it would have been a shame to paint it all. We created some sweet curtains and a curved pelmet in Totty green fabric. The pelment has a scolloped edge and we trimmed this in a dark pink/red plain fabric. The headboard was coloured in a plain blue fabric but had piping the same as the trimmings from the curtain pelmet. The large cushions were made with a frill in Tea for Two warm blue and the main part of the cushion was made in Emma verty fabric. The smaller cushions were made using Poppy red fabric trimmed with some pom poms from Samuel and sons. We had an eiderdown made by Dearest Violet in Elinor red, this also had a pleated frill around it in the same fabric. There was also a little pleated lampshade made out of Tea for Two warm blue.
The shepherds hut was transformed and looked amazing, it has been featured in quite a few magazines.
