Zinal Stripe rose
Zinal is the furthest Swiss village up the Val d’anniver valley, it is a long thin village but has the most delightful old wooden chalets. They have been built out of larch wood which has turned black over many decades. You can really imagine what it must have been like to go on a pioneer skiing holiday in the 1950s. It still has real charm and hasn’t been taken over but the tourists, it is set against the most dramatic backdrop of white rocky snow topped mountains.
Zinal stripe fabric appears to look like a woven stripe but it is in fact printed. I created this design by arranging lots of little tiny squares to form a woven stripe. I found an old Swiss duvet cover and it had an embroidered strip going across it. I counted the squares it was a bit like doing cross stitch but on a MAC and that is how I created this effect. You can never go wrong with a stripe and this is a great medium sized scale scale not too large or too tiny you can’t see it. Hopefully there are enough colours to choose from to be included in your project.

Sending rolls of fabric cost much more than sending boxes. They have to be physically handled and cannot go on a conveyor belt so the couriers charge a premium handling charge which makes it expensive to send fabric on a roll. We charge the cost prices to send via courier.
