The Countess design deserves a grand title because it was influenced by ceramic designs found at The Bowes Museum in County Durham. I drew The Countess entirely by hand on my MAC, I used a special tablet and pen to draw the outlines and then I added block colour underneath the outlines. There is also a little faint circle design within the background, this was created using an App on my iPhone. I took a photograph of a ceramic coaster and the App simplified it into a graphic which I used as the background. I really think even if you use top technology to create fabrics you can still inject your own style and personality to create something which looks like it was hand drawn using conventional methods!
